We will have at least one event for the youth this year. We need more volunteers to help and churches involved. Local community sports leagues may not be what your child needs. Get your child involved in our Christian based sports fellowship.

2015 Season Mission & Focus

We want to return to our roots and foster more brotherly fellowship among churches and team building. We need more Pastors to get involved. Mission: Recruit your Pastor!

Welcome to Play for Missions! We are a non-profit organization for local Christian churches currently serving the NY/NJ area since 2009. Our purpose is to: 1) develop sports activities within a local church to bond and edify their ministries and members; and 2) help raise funds for their various missions programs and other charities through the organization of sports events and activities; and 3) unite local churches for building His Kingdom together.

Originally, our first focus was to develop a men's softball league for a number of Korean-American churches in the NY/NJ area. Although the league is multi-ethnic and not limited to any particular ethnicity, our initial ground-breaking plan was to address the needs of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation Korean churches in the Korean-American community. Thankfully, we are now in our second stage which, is to enlarge our borders to include all churches and ethnicities in the tri-state area. Other activities for men, women, and youth include: Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Soccer, Golf, Bowling, and more...

In 2013, Play for Missions and Christian Fellowship League united as one to join the efforts to better serve the member churches in the sports ministry.

Co-Founders Doug Paik and Jones Kim. Two old friends sharing a vision and running with it! Doug is the pretty face for the league, while Jones does most of the hard work nobody sees. Perfect team!
